Providing the homeless with housing, not just shelter [Interview].

The "Housing First" program aims to break down the barriers between social work, psychiatry, addiction treatment, and access to housing. Social workers, along with other professionals, play an essential role in helping homeless individuals secure housing and establish stability. Getting off the streets allows people to regain control of their lives and rebuild their self-esteem and confidence in their abilities.
