We often conduct home visits with the attending physician [Interview].

In the Franche-Comté region, a new role is proving a boon to general practitioners: "community support coordinator." ARESPA support coordinators work directly with doctors and other healthcare professionals. The support coordinator’s role is based on a thorough understanding of the healthcare, social, and medico-social sectors, as well as all existing systems, how they interact, and their objectives; the goal being that the patient, regardless of age, condition, or circumstances, receives the most appropriate and responsive care and support, in line with the primary care physician’s expectations and in agreement with the patient.
