Health in Action, June 2016, No. 436: Preventing School Dropout.

Every year in France, thousands of young people drop out of school. This issue’s feature article explores the reasons behind this trend and highlights ways to help these students return to school. This is because dropping out has a significant negative impact—including academic failure and low self-esteem—on the overall health, both physical and psychological, of the young people affected. Also in this issue: a section on local mental health councils, a survey on intellectual disabilities and emotional and sexual life, and a study on the use of the internet for health-related purposes.
