Survival Rates for People with Cancer in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 - Prostate

In France, for the year 2015, the estimated number of new cases of prostate cancer was 50,430, and the estimated number of deaths from prostate cancer was 8,512. Key points: 5-year age-standardized survival rate of 93% for cases diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; Improvement in 5-year age-standardized survival of 24 percentage points and 33 percentage points at 10 years between 1990 and 2010; In 2005, mortality was very close to that of the general population; Since 2010, there has been a very slight decline in survival.
