Survival Rates for People with Cancer in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 – Uterine Body

In mainland France, for the year 2018, the estimated number of new cases of endometrial cancer was 8,224, and the estimated number of deaths from endometrial cancer was 2,415. Key points: 5-year age-standardized survival rate of 74% for those diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; excess mortality immediately after diagnosis 2.7 times higher for women aged 80 than for women aged 60 and younger; Between 1990 and 2015: slight increase in 1-year age-standardized net survival, 6 percentage point improvement at 5 years and 10 years, more marked improvement in net survival among older women; low excess mortality rate after 5 years of follow-up for all age groups.
