HIV Epidemiology and the Situation Among Older Adults

Since the emergence of the human immunodeficiency virus in the early 1980s, the epidemic has spread widely across all regions of the world. In France, the spread of the infection remains active, with a significant number of new cases each year, primarily affecting men who have sex with men and heterosexuals born in sub-Saharan Africa. Prevention efforts targeting the most at-risk populations must continue.
