Proposal for a study on acute encephalitis in non-HIV patients in mainland France

Encephalitis is a serious condition whose management is complicated by the frequent lack of an etiological diagnosis. While chronic post-infectious complications are well documented, there is, however, little data on the causes of encephalitis in HIV-negative children and adolescents in France, or on the psychosocial outcomes for these patients.
