All epidemiological surveillance indicators point to an intensification of viral circulation and a geographical spread of the epidemic, which has so far spared the municipalities of Les Saintes and Marie-Galante. The DENV-4 virus has remained slightly predominant over the past two months, and the DENV-3 virus has been identified on two occasions. These two serotypes had not circulated in Guadeloupe for several years. The situation corresponds to Phase 4, Level 1 of the Psage Dengue system (confirmed epidemic). Given the epidemiological situation, it is important to emphasize the importance of eliminating larval breeding sites and taking individual precautions against mosquitoes.
