Week 33 (August 14–20, 2023):

• In the Indian Ocean region, the week marking the start of the school year in Réunion was characterized by a low number of emergency department visits for asthma among children under 15 (47 visits vs. 40 in Week 32), with a share of activity (5% vs. 4% in Week 32) comparable to that of previous years.

• Nationally, emergency room visits for asthma among children under 15 are slightly down compared to previous weeks in both networks. The proportion of emergency room activity remains at a low level comparable to that of previous years, unlike at SOS Médecins, where it has been slightly higher since Week 31.
