In week 49 (December 2–8), overall activity remained stable across all age groups.
Over the past week, there was an increase in respiratory conditions at levels comparable to
those observed in previous years:- Bronchiolitis (+9%, or +33 cases) among children under 2 years of age. With the exception of Corsica, which is entering the pre-epidemic phase, all other metropolitan regions are in the epidemic phase;
- Influenza/flu-like illness and bronchitis (+28% and +10%, or +406 and 491 cases, respectively) across all age groups.
Among other increases, the following stand out:
- Vomiting and gastroenteritis (+28% and 22%, respectively, or +51 cases) in those aged 75 and older;
- Infectious conjunctivitis among adults (+15%, or 41 additional cases) and children aged 2–14 (+6%, or 26 additional cases) for the fourth consecutive week;
- Gastroenteritis (+16%, or 67 additional cases) among children under 2 years of age.
