LaboVIH Testing: Regional participation has declined due to the health crisis;
HIV cases in 2020
Since 2016, there has been a persistently high number of people aged 50 and older who have discovered their HIV-positive status;
Increase in the proportion of those under 25; a trend likely to be confirmed given the small sample size;
The proportion of these two age groups is higher than in mainland France (excluding the Île-de-France region);
Predominance of infections occurring during heterosexual intercourse;
Decrease in the number of early diagnoses and persistence of nearly one-third of infections detected at an advanced stage.
e-DO: 100% of mandatory reports submitted electronically; 66% of forms complete, containing both the section filled out by the laboratory technician and the section filled out by the clinician
Prevention
Promote the resumption of screening in the regions;
Improve screening quality indicators: increase early diagnoses and reduce those at an advanced stage. The latter represent a missed opportunity in terms of individual care and a risk of HIV transmission to partners before starting antiretroviral treatment;
Importance of implementing prevention initiatives among those under 25 and the population aged 50 and older.
