In Brest, it was a doctor concerned about the plight of people suffering from mental health issues who convinced the city to establish a Local Mental Health Council (CLSM). The CLSM brings together elected officials, health and social service professionals, and representatives from community organizations around the table with a single priority: to provide support tailored to the individual. While this interdisciplinary approach is bearing fruit, the challenge remains to involve the patients themselves.
