Increase in case incidence (+27% between weeks 28 and 29) outpacing the increase in testing (+3% between W28 and W29)
Increase in incidence among people aged 75 and older
Increase in reported cases in long-term care facilities
Halt in the decline of ICU admissions
Increase in weeks 28 and 29 in the number of patients tested late (symptoms appeared 5 to 7 days before testing)
Seven departments with an incidence rate > 10 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 29− Mayenne: classified as high vulnerability (increasing case incidence, very high testing activity, decreasing positivity rate, 2 clusters with community spread)− Finistère, Gironde, and Vosges: classified as moderate vulnerability
In French Guiana and Mayotte: epidemic peaks have passed, but the virus continues to circulate at a high level
Decrease in the consistent adoption of preventive measures (maintaining a distance of at least 1 m, greeting without shaking hands, avoiding hugs), stabilization of hygiene measures and mask-wearing.
