Key Points
COVID-19
In Week 24, the decline in SARS-CoV-2 circulation continued in the region as well as nationwide. Incidence and positivity rates were lower compared to the consolidated rates for Week 23.
Excluding virological surveillance indicators, all COVID-19 surveillance indicators (hospitalizations and critical care admissions, SOS Médecins calls, emergency department visits, episodes reported in the ESMS, and COVID-19-related deaths) were stable or declining.
Acute gastroenteritis
SOS Médecins: low, stable activity
Hospital emergency departments: moderate activity, stable
Other regional surveillance
Chickenpox: activity decreasing at SOS Médecins and stable in hospital emergency departments.
Allergies: activity stable at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments.
Asthma (ages 2–14): activity decreasing at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments. Following the sharp increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations observed over the past few weeks, asthma activity among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 64-year-olds decreased in week 24, returning to levels typically seen at this time of year.
Heat-related illnesses: increased activity at SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments.
