In Week 52:
SOS Médecins: Low activity, stable compared to Week 51.
Hospital emergency departments (Oscour®): Low activity, down compared to Week 51.
Laboratory data (SIDEP®): Number of tests performed up, positivity rate down (3.2% vs. 5.3% in Week 51).
COVID outbreaks in long-term care facilities: 49 reported outbreaks compared to 34 in Week 51.
Hospital data: 262 new hospitalizations, down from the previous week (317 in Week 51).
Since November 3, all departments in the Centre-Val de Loire region have been classified as having a “high” vulnerability level.
Winter epidemics
Bronchiolitis: low activity.
Gastroenteritis: in week 52, activity was stable at SOS Médecins and on the rise in hospital emergency departments.
All-cause mortality
Significant excess mortality from all causes across all age groups since week 44, particularly pronounced among those aged 65 and older.
