Heat, heat wave
In week 31 (August 1–7, 2022), the region experienced a heatwave from August 2 to 4: two departments were placed under an orange heatwave alert (Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin), and the other departments, with the exception of Ardennes and Marne, were placed under a yellow alert. This heatwave was marked by an increase in overall healthcare utilization among those aged 75 and older, and by an increase in healthcare utilization for heat-related conditions (all ages).
