In Week 32 of 2022, the decline in SARS-CoV-2 circulation continued:
Decrease in incidence across all age groups.
Decrease in the number of new hospitalizations across all departments, but stabilization of critical care admissions compared to week 31-2022.
Decrease in the number of emergency room visits.
Decrease in the number of COVID-19 consultations for SOS Médecins associations in the region.
Departmental incidence rates: decrease in incidence rates across all departments in the region. All departments have fallen below the threshold of 400 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
In the Grand Est region, the screening rate is 37%, and 99% of screened tests correspond to a suspected
Omicron variant (for tests where the mutation is sought and interpretable). In week 32 of 2022, 88% of screened samples carried a mutation consistent with the new Omicron sublineages, including BA.2.12.1, BA.4, and BA.5 (stable compared to week 31 of 2022).
Monkeypox
As of August 16, 2022, 70 cases had been reported in the Grand-Est region.
