The incidence rate continues to decline in week 29 of 2022 (759 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 889 in week 28 of 2022).
This decrease now applies to all age groups. The highest incidence rates are observed among those aged 20–29 and 30–39 (999 cases and 971 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively).
The positivity rate (30%) decreased slightly in week 29 of 2022. This decrease is seen across all age groups except for those aged 20, where it remains stable.
The testing rate is declining in most age groups but is stabilizing among those aged 70 and older.
Enteric viruses
Enteric viruses are circulating at low levels according to data provided by the Nancy University Hospital.
Acute gastroenteritis
SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for acute gastroenteritis (AGE), all ages, was 322 in week 29 of 2022. This is down from the previous week (372 consultations). The proportion of activity is 5.9% and remains stable compared to last week.
Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AGI) across all age groups is slightly down in week 29 of 2022 (262 visits compared to 290 in week 28 of 2022), representing 1.1% of emergency department activity. The proportion of hospitalizations for AGI among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is less than 1%.
Virology data: According to data from the virology laboratory at Nancy University Hospital, the circulation of enteric viruses is now low.
