COVID-19

• In week 09-2023, the incidence rate rose slightly to 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to 46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in week 08-2023);

• The incidence rate is increasing or stable across all age groups. The sharpest increase is observed among those aged 0–9 (+62%). The highest incidence rate is observed among those aged 80 and older (107 cases per 100,000 inhabitants);

• The positivity rate (9%) is slightly higher than the previous week;

• The testing rate is 549 tests per 100,000 inhabitants in week 09-2023, stable or decreasing across all age groups.

Bronchiolitis

• OSCOUR®: In week 09-2023, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age continued to decline. It stands at 3.9%, or 49 visits. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is also decreasing, falling below 10% in week 09-2023;

• SOS Médecins: In week 09-2023, the proportion of cases handled by SOS Médecins related to bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age was 6.9%, an increase compared to week 08-2023; however, fluctuations are often observed during this period.

Influenza and Influenza-Like Illnesses

• OSCOUR®: In week 09-2023, the number of emergency department visits for flu-like illness, all ages, decreased compared to the previous week (240 versus 376 in week 08-2023). The proportion of cases also decreased, with 1.60% of emergency department visits related to the flu.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, across all age groups, decreased compared to the previous week (603 consultations versus 723 in W08-2023), representing 9.1% of total activity.

Acute Gastroenteritis

• OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AGE) across all age groups decreased slightly in week 09-2023 compared to the previous week (289 versus 336 in week 08-2023), representing 1.4% of activity.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for acute gastroenteritis across all age groups and the associated share of activity increased slightly in week 09-2023 compared to the previous week (599 visits versus 561 in week 08-2023, and a 9.0% share of activity versus 8.1% in week 08).
