MortalityThe number of deaths, across all age groups, recorded in S12 in the sentinel municipalities continues to decline. For people aged 75 and older, the number of deaths remains relatively stable.
Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations: The decline in emergency room visits by people aged 75 and older continues. No significant changes to note for children under 1 year of age.
Reportable Diseases (MDO)No notable changes this week.
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning as of 03/31/13 Nationally, 1,147 cases of poisoning since 09/01/12, including 39 deaths. In Aquitaine, no reports of CO poisoning cases over the past 3 weeks.
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE) and AGE outbreaks in nursing homesNationally, the number of gastroenteritis-related visits to private practices monitored by the Sentinelles® Network has increased slightly compared to last week and is just above epidemic thresholds. In Aquitaine, activity (SOS Médecins, Oscour®) is stable and below alert thresholds.
Influenza and outbreaks of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in nursing homes: End of the confirmed influenza epidemic at the national level. Influenza viruses continue to circulate and may be responsible for sporadic cases.
Bronchiolitis: Activity is generally stable or even slightly increasing in emergency departments and SOS Médecins associations. The AquiRespi network treated 60 children during the on-call shifts of March 30 and 31.

School AbsenteeismThe overall school absenteeism rate remains stable in S12.
