The Heat Wave Health Alert System (SACS) SACS is a monitoring and alert system designed to identify heat waves that could have a significant impact on public health, thereby enabling the rapid implementation of preventive and management measures. SACS consists of two coordinated components: a meteorological component implemented by Météo-France, and a health component implemented by the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS). The InVS assesses the impact of heat waves on a daily basis using the following indicators: - The number of emergency room visits (including those under one year of age and those aged 75 and older)- The number of SOS Médecins interventions - The number of emergency room visits and the number of SOS Médecins interventions related to heat (visits with a diagnosis of hyperthermia and heatstroke (T67 and X30), visits with a diagnosis of dehydration: E86, visits with a diagnosis of hyponatremia: E87) - INSEE mortality data
