COVID-19

  • Increased viral circulation in the region. The Bouches-du-Rhône department moved to the “high vulnerability” category on August 14. The Var, Vaucluse, and Alpes-Maritimes departments are at the “moderate vulnerability” level

  • Increase in the incidence rate and positivity rate at the regional level based on monitoring of patients testing positive in city and hospital laboratories

  • The most unfavorable situation is observed in Bouches-du-Rhône, where the incidence rate has reached 83 per 100,000 inhabitants

  • COVID-related activity by SOS Médecins associations is on the rise

  • Low use of hospital emergency departments

  • Total number of hospitalizations and ICU admissions remains stable

  • 23 new reports from social and medical-social facilities

  • 21 new COVID-19 transmission clusters, currently under investigation

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

Since the start of surveillance, 23 confirmed cases of dengue, imported mainly from French Guiana and Martinique, have been reported.

Heatwave

The heat wave, which began in week 32, ended on August 12. Activity in emergency departments and among SOS Médecins associations for conditions potentially related to the heat remains low.
