Chikungunya, dengue, Zika: An outbreak of locally transmitted dengue has been detected in Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes department. To date, two cases have been confirmed. Symptoms first appeared in the second half of August. Vector control measures were implemented as soon as the first case was identified. An active case-finding effort has been launched: raising awareness among healthcare professionals; door-to-door investigation in the area identified as at risk. The primary imported case responsible for the local transmission has not yet been identified.
Heat Wave: No heat wave is forecast in the coming days that would warrant a heat wave alert. Activity in emergency departments and among SOS Médecins associations for conditions potentially related to heat remains low.
