Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, March 17, 2020

Summary

Nationally, in Week 10 (March 2–8, 2020), mortality remains within the usual range of fluctuation across all age groups.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual delays in reporting. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality, without linking them to any current events.

According to data from electronic death certificates, 2,619 deaths were recorded in week 11 (March 9–15, 2020).
