Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, March 3, 2020

Summary

Nationwide, in week 8 (February 17–23, 2020), mortality remains within the usual range of fluctuation across all age groups.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual delays in reporting. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality, without linking them to any current events.

According to data from electronic certification, 2,514 deaths were recorded in Week 9 (February 24–March 1, 2020).
