Summary - Activity remains stable both nationally and across regions - Asthma diagnoses are down slightly across all age groups (-11%, -71 cases)- Increase in overall activity among 5- to 14-year-olds (+11%, +698 consultations), mainly linked to ENT infections (nasopharyngitis, otitis, laryngitis/tracheitis)

Trends in overall activity Activity at SOS Médecins clinics has remained stable across all age groups for the second consecutive week, both nationally and in the regions. Patient numbers are close to those observed in 2013 for the same period. As in the previous week, there has been a slight increase in healthcare utilization among 5- to 14-year-olds (+10%, +698 consultations).

Trends in seasonal indicators Among children under 15, there has been an increase in healthcare visits for ENT infections: nasopharyngitis (+17%, +335 cases); otitis (+15%, +250 cases); and laryngitis/tracheitis (+17%, +93 cases). Following an increase in asthma attack diagnoses observed the previous week, this indicator has declined slightly across all age groups (-11%, -71 cases) at the national level. This trend primarily affects children and adults under 75 years of age. The number of cases is similar to those observed in 2012 and 2013. Across regions, this indicator is stable or slightly down across all age groups and accounts for between 1% and 2.5% of the associations’ overall activity. Diagnoses of bronchitis are on the rise among 5- to 14-year-olds (+31%, +68 cases). Case numbers are stable for all other age groups and similar to those in 2013. Among those aged 15–74, there is an increase in pneumonia diagnoses, although case numbers remain low (+27%, +32 cases). Activity related to this indicator is stable across all age groups. Case numbers are comparable to those of 2012 and 2013. Diagnoses of bronchiolitis are increasing among children under 2 years of age (+16%, +18 cases); however, these numbers remain low and within expected seasonal ranges. Diagnoses of influenza/influenza-like illness continue to decline across all age groups and for all age categories (-20%, -211 cases). Case numbers are within expected seasonal ranges. Diagnoses of gastroenteritis are stable for all monitored age categories. Case numbers are similar to those of 2013.
