Nationwide activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable over the past week, with patient numbers slightly higher than in 2010 and 2011. There was an increase among children aged 5–14 and those under 5, up 23% and 14%, respectively. The gastroenteritis indicator remained stable over the period at a level slightly higher than in 2011 and 2010, accounting for 16% of patient calls. This indicator showed a slight increase among those aged 15–74 (+15%). The asthma attack indicator is stable across all age groups, remaining at a higher level than in 2011 and 2010 for the same period. Influenza diagnoses are on the rise (+32%, 694 cases in the past week) across all age groups; this trend is comparable to the two previous flu seasons. Among children under 2 years of age, the number of calls for respiratory conditions and diagnoses of bronchiolitis are increasing, by 30% and 48% respectively, with higher numbers than in 2011 and 2010 for the same period.The mortality rate has remained stable over the period, with figures comparable to previous years. In addition to gastroenteritis, the main conditions diagnosed are ENT and respiratory conditions, all of which are on the rise across all age groups: nasopharyngitis (+35%), otitis, laryngitis, and tracheitis (+20%), and bronchitis (+20%).
