Summary

In Week 7 (February 10–16, 2020), the first week of school vacation, activity was slightly up among children under 2 years of age (+5%, or +340 visits), stable among adults, and down (-10%) among 2- to 14-year-olds.

Indicators for respiratory system conditions were down among 2- to 14-year-olds, with decreases ranging from -8% to -19%. For other age groups, notable increases were observed in the small sample sizes of pneumonia cases among those aged 15–74 (+13%, or +48 cases) and asthma attacks among children under 2 (+27%, or +20 cases) and adults (+9%, or +52 cases).

Among other indicators, there was an increase in cases of vomiting among those aged 15–74 (+11%, or 45 cases) and allergies among children under 2 (+29%, or 34 cases) and those aged 15–74 (+9%, or 49 cases).
