In Week 29 (July 19–25, 2021), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable among adults and declined among children (-11%, or 2,212 fewer procedures).

The increase in medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 across all age groups continued for the third consecutive week (+35%, or +515 procedures). The share of activity also rose (2.9% in Week 29 vs. 2.1% in Week 28). This increase was observed across all age groups. At the regional level, SOS Médecins medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 are on the rise in all regions except Centre-Val de Loire and Hauts-de-France. The sharpest increases in numbers are observed in Martinique (+73%, or +84 visits), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (+44%, or +83 visits), Occitanie (+63%, or +81 visits), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (+44%, or +79 visits), and PACA (+31%, or +71 visits). Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 230,034 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.

Seasonal indicators continue to rise. Notably, there was an increase in procedures for heatstroke (+318%, or +144 procedures) and insect bites (+36%, or +380 procedures) across all age groups, for isolated fever (+18%, or +83 cases) and allergies (+15%, or +57 cases) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and for dehydration (+68%, or +44 cases) and malaise (+16%, or +39 cases) among adults. Also noteworthy is the increase in trauma cases (+10%, or +166 cases) among those aged 15–74. Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in cases of heart failure (+14%, or +25 cases) among those aged 75 and older.
