Homeless Youth: Current Situation and Support Strategies.

Placed in care and often shuffled from one program to another, young people living on the streets share the common experience of having endured numerous breakdowns in their relationships, educational opportunities, and emotional support. Educators, street teams, and day centers—the involvement of professionals within innovative programs has proven effective. However, we must not overlook the significant challenges that lie ahead and must accept the fact that many of these young people will need long-term support and guidance, in ways that respect who they are and what they want.
