SARS-CoV-2 transmission is intensifying in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in week 44.

  • Regional incidence rate rises for the fourth consecutive week: 85 per 100,000 residents in week 44 (+55%)

  • The increase affects all age groups except those over 90 and all departments in the region except Haute-Loire

  • The number of people hospitalized and those in intensive care is increasing by approximately 10%

  • Slight increase in COVID-19 vaccination coverage: at least 1 dose (76.7%, +0.3 percentage points), full course (75.2%, +0.3 percentage points), booster dose (5.8%, +1.2 percentage points).

  • In hospital settings (Oscour® network emergency facilities): moderate activity

Flu

No flu epidemic. In week 44: baseline levels of surveillance indicators (emergency room visits and SOS Médecins interventions for flu-like syndrome) Detection of sporadic cases of confirmed influenza A in week 43.

All-cause mortality

No excess mortality in the region in week 43.

Arboviruses (dengue)

A new imported case of dengue was reported in October, bringing the total number of cases reported since the start of the enhanced surveillance season in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to 18, most of which were imported from Réunion.
