Bronchiolitis

• Epidemic on the decline.

• Bronchiolitis-related activity remains at a post-epidemic level in S08: 8.1% (vs. 8.9% in S-1) of emergency department visits; 2.4% (vs. 2.3%) of SOS Médecins calls. Among children under 1 year of age, activity remains above 10% (13% in S08).

• The rate of bronchiolitis hospitalizations among all coded hospitalizations is slightly decreasing to 16%.

Influenza

• 12th week of the epidemic.

• Flu-related activity continues to decline among emergency department visits in Week 08, with 3.4% of cases attributed to the flu (vs. 4.2% in Week 1), as does the rate of flu-related hospitalizations among all coded hospitalizations (2.8%).

• The number and proportion of emergency department visits for influenza among those under 15 have remained stable in recent days, at high levels with 290 cases and 7% of influenza (vs. 355 and 9% in Week 1). Peaks in care over the weekend were still observed through February 10.

COVID-19

• Low activity

• The SARS-CoV-2 virus continues to circulate at low levels in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, as in other regions. The proportion of cases handled by SOS Médecins and emergency departments for suspected COVID-19 remains low.

Acute gastroenteritis

• Moderate activity

• Activity related to gastroenteritis is at a moderate level in S08: stable at 1.5% (vs. 1.3% in S-1) for emergency departments and decreasing to 7.3% (vs. 8.7% in S-1) for SOS Médecins.
