Key Findings

• For the two SOS Médecins d'Alsace associations, since week 47, activity related to influenza and influenza-like illnesses has increased slightly but currently accounts for less than 2% of each association’s total activity.

• Since September 1, 2014, six respiratory specimens have tested positive for the influenza virus.

• The number of respiratory specimens testing positive for RSV is on the rise (16 in week 49).

• Over the past three weeks, the number of bronchiolitis diagnoses made by the SOS Médecins d’Alsace associations has increased. The proportion of bronchiolitis diagnoses exceeded 10% of the activity at the SOS Médecins de Strasbourg association in weeks 48 and 49.

• Over the past three weeks, activity related to gastroenteritis has increased and is similar to what was observed in previous years during the same period.
