The notification form is available for download from the notifiable diseases webpage and in the section for each relevant disease under the "Our Action" tab.
Certain urgent illnesses must be reported immediately to the nearest regional health agency by any appropriate means, including outside of regular business hours, so that immediate action can be taken. You should then file a report using the relevant CERFA form (official forms used for administrative purposes in France).
Certain diseases must be reported as soon as they are suspected, without waiting for a confirmed diagnosis from laboratory testing. These include botulism, viral hemorrhagic fever, anthrax, yellow fever, invasive meningococcal disease, poliomyelitis, measles, and outbreaks of foodborne illness.
Santé publique France has established an enhanced health monitoring and surveillance system for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This system is largely based on existing surveillance systems, with additional features designed to monitor a mass gathering of this scale. For more information: link to the relevant section.
Health surveillance reports are published in weekly epidemiological bulletins. The national and regional bulletins can be found here (French only). An English version of the national bulletin is available here.
The indicators monitored for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are based on a multi-source system. They are generated by analyzing data on hospitalizations, emergency department visits, SOS Médecins consultations, and the emergency medical services (SAMU), as well as data on heat waves and wastewater.
The indicators are published in weekly national and regional bulletins. The bulletins may also include specific updates related to an exceptional situation, if necessary.
The indicators will be monitored daily to identify any unusual events, and then published in weekly epidemiological bulletins. The national and regional bulletins will be available on the Santé publique France website, in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games section. A summary version of the weekly national bulletin will also be available in English. For more information: link

The Healthcare Reserve could be mobilized during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, or at any time of the year, should an exceptional health situation arise that requires support from additional healthcare professionals (for example, if hospitals were reaching capacity while dealing with an epidemic in a given region).
To become a healthcare reservist in France, simply register online. After completing your profile and uploading all the required documents, the platform will generate a Healthcare Reserve contract of engagement. Simply print, sign, and mail it to Santé publique France. Once finalized, the signed contract will be available in your personal account above the uploaded documents.

By registering on the website reservesanitaire.fr, you will be notified of any assignments that match your profile. Registration is quick: just enter your name, status, profession, and phone number.
Then, before going on an assignment, you will need to complete your healthcare reservist profile by providing copies of your identification documents, diplomas, health insurance card, resume, and a medical certificate of fitness. Depending on the role, other documents may be requested (such as proof of secondary employment). We strongly recommend that you complete your profile before you receive an alert that matches your skills. However, healthcare reservists who haven’t completed their profile can still receive alerts and volunteer for assignments; in this case, they would need to complete their profile before the assignment schedule is finalized (within 24 hours). Healthcare reservists will be sent on an assignment even if their profile is not complete.
France's strategic stockpile is managed by Santé publique France's pharmaceutical division. It includes medicines, medical devices, and equipment that can be deployed in response to a serious health threat, to supplement local resources, or when demand exceeds supply. In the context of major events such as the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the quantities and locations of these resources—whether strategic or tactical—are adjusted based on identified risks and threats, as well as associated scenarios.
Strategic stockpiles are pre-positioned in the regions specifically to enable a rapid response to an exceptional health emergency. In addition to these pre-positioned resources—or if they are depleted—strategic stockpiles can be mobilized 24 hours a day and delivered to regional crisis management teams within 12 hours of a request.
