A new website for healthy aging

Since 2011, the National Institute for Prevention and Health Education (which became Santé publique France on May 1, 2016) has partnered with pension funds to launch a major information program aimed at people aged 55 and older, as well as healthcare and social services professionals. The website pourbienvieillir.fr is the result of these five years of work.

Pourbienvieillir.fr is aimed at seniors and older adults, as well as healthcare and social services professionals. All of the content offered is part of a comprehensive and positive approach to health.

The section for the general public brings together all the advice needed for healthy aging: testimonials from seniors and older adults, expert insights, quizzes, and an interactive map to help you find prevention workshops offered by pension funds. The themes covered include aging well mentally, physically, and socially, to help you age with peace of mind, as well as aging well at home and with your pension fund.

A media library also provides users with all the brochures and videos produced by Santé publique France, the Pension Fund, the MSA, and the RSI.

Furthermore, to help users find content tailored to their situation, an “inspiration module” suggests content based on their answers to four questions regarding their physical fitness, social relationships, activities, and housing.

In the Professional Area, professionals will find, across three sections, information on health prevention for older adults, tools for their “Aging Well” initiatives, and professional training in health promotion. This area brings together thematic monitoring tools, presents databases related to “Aging Well” initiatives, provides assessment methods, and offers useful links for further exploration. The media library allows users to download and view practical resources: guides, brochures, videos, and more. By the end of 2016, a newsletter will be added to the platform for professionals to keep them regularly informed about new content on the site.
