Key points
Guadeloupe
Virological indicators were relatively stable; hospital indicators, however, were on the rise.
While the incidence rate increased by 9%, testing and positivity rates remained stable in Week 23. The 7-day rolling effective R from June 5 to 11 was 1.06—95% CI [1.01–1.10], significantly higher than 1. This reflects continued active circulation of SARS-CoV-2 in Guadeloupe. Furthermore, the 50–59 age group recorded the highest incidence rate in week 23.
At the hospital level, emergency room visits and new admissions across all departments were on the rise. As of June 15, 2022, there were no reported hospital deaths in Guadeloupe during S23.
Saint Martin
SARS-CoV-2 circulation remained stable in Week 23.
New infections and the positivity rate remained stable despite an increase in testing.
Since the resurgence of the epidemic observed in Week 12, hospital indicators have remained low. However, one hospital death occurred in Saint Martin during Week 23.
Saint-Barthélemy
SARS-CoV-2 circulation remained stable in Week 23.
Against a backdrop of declining testing, fewer than ten new cases were recorded compared to the previous week. The positivity rate, however, remained stable.
At the hospital, the situation has remained calm since the resurgence of the epidemic observed in Week 12.
