Key points
Guadeloupe
In week 2021-37, the decline in SARS-CoV-2 transmission continued for the fifth consecutive week in Guadeloupe. The positivity rate has remained below the alert threshold for the second consecutive week. However, the incidence rate is 3.4 times higher than the alert threshold. The 15–44 age group remains the most affected, particularly those aged 20–29.
In hospitals, the situation improved slightly in week 2021-37, with a decrease in the number of new hospitalizations (across all departments and in critical care), the number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19, and mortality. However, the number of new admissions and the number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 remain high. Excess mortality, across all ages and causes of death, has been recorded since week 2021-31.
