Key Points

COVID-19

• In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, as at the national level, incidence and positivity rates are declining amid a corresponding decrease in testing rates. SARS-CoV-2 viral circulation is trending downward, with an estimated incidence rate of 73 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (close to the national rate: 70 per 100,000 inhabitants).

• At the subregional level, departmental incidence rates range from 58 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Nièvre to 91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Jura, and positivity rates range from 15.8% in Territoire-de-Belfort to 26.5% in Jura. Côte-d’Or, Doubs, and Jura present the most unfavorable situations, with indicators exceeding the values observed in France.

Flu

• End of the epidemic

• Continued decline in influenza-related activity (all ages) among SOS Médecins associations (Figure 1) and in emergency departments over the past 5 weeks (Figure 2)

• 47 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care reported by the intensive care unit sentinel network. The last reported case was admitted in week 11 (mid-March).

• 56 reports of clusters of acute respiratory infections in long-term care facilities since early October 2022. The number of clusters is very low (n=3 in April).

Acute gastroenteritis

• Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics is at levels observed during previous seasons at the same time (Figure 3).

• Emergency department activity is lower than that observed last season (Figure 4).
