Bronchiolitis

  • Transition to the post-epidemic phase

  • Bronchiolitis-related activity remained stable in S03 (11% vs. 11% in S02) in emergency departments

  • SOS Médecins activity increased to 8% (vs. 4% in S02), marked by a resurgence in activity for SOS Besançon (18%)

Influenza

  • Epidemic phase, on the rise

  • Flu-related activity increased in Week 3 in emergency departments, with 309 flu cases (1.9% of visits vs. 1.3% in Week 2) and for SOS Médecins, with 466 cases out of 3,500 procedures (13.5% vs. 9% in Week 2)

  • In the region’s medical-social facilities, 11 clusters of flu cases have been reported since Week 51

  • Since November 2023, 14 severe cases of influenza admitted to intensive care (11 influenza A cases, including 1 A(H1N1), 1 influenza B, and 2 unspecified) have been reported

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Higher activity than last year

  • Activity at SOS Médecins clinics for acute gastroenteritis is high, accounting for 10.2% of visits (vs. 10.0% in Week 02)

  • Emergency department activity for acute gastroenteritis has been moderate over the past 4 weeks, with a visit rate of 1.2% in S03 (vs. 1.1% in S02)

COVID-19

  • The spread of SARS-CoV-2 is slowing in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

  • The rate of confirmed cases fell from 13.2 per 100,000 inhabitants in S02 to 11.3 in S03.
