Bronchiolitis

• Epidemic phase.

• Bronchiolitis activity among children under 2 years of age is stable in emergency departments (11% vs. 10% in S-1) and at SOS Médecins (6% vs. 7% in S-1).

• The trend is similar to the 2021–2022 epidemic, and the proportion of cases is lower than in the two previous seasons.

Flu

• No current epidemic.

• Flu-related activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins and emergency departments is low and remains at levels similar to the previous season.

• Among the 161 episodes of acute respiratory infections (ARI) occurring in long-term care facilities (LTCFs) between weeks 20 and 45, none were attributed exclusively to influenza (vs. 11 in France).

Acute gastroenteritis

• Low activity

• Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics is increasing this week.

• Activity (all ages) in emergency departments over the past few weeks is within the range observed during the previous season.

COVID-19

• The rate of confirmed cases in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is relatively stable: it dropped from 33.2 in Week 44 to 29.5 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 45. The percentage of cases involving suspected COVID-19 among SOS Médecins associations remains relatively stable (3.3% vs. 3.8% in Week 1), as does the rate of emergency department visits (1.3% vs. 1.7% in Week 1), which remains low (Figure 8 and map below). The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit has decreased (40.0% vs. 52.0% in S-1) and primarily involves those aged 65 and older (90.1%).
