In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the incidence rate (adjusted for Pentecost Monday) is declining, as is the positivity rate, against a backdrop of low testing rates. The incidence rate is estimated at 20 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, lower than the national rate of 31 per 100,000 inhabitants.
Incidence rates range from 17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Saône-et-Loire to 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Côte d’Or, and positivity rates range from 9.2% in Yonne to 14.4% in Haute-Saône. Haute-Saône has a positivity rate higher than the national average.
In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the XBB.1.5 variant remains the most prevalent (49% of sequences in S19 vs. 46% in S18). Other Omicron sublineages such as BA.2 and BA.5 did not circulate more widely in the region in S19 (latest consolidated data). These trends are also observed at the national level.
