In Week 48, SARS-CoV-2 circulation intensified in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Virological indicators (calculated based on antigen tests alone) were on the rise, while hospital indicators remained stable.
Positivity rate (PR) and incidence rate (IR) from antigen tests were rising. Higher IR and PR among those aged 15–44 and 45–64.
The BA.5 sublineage has been stable and predominant since week S24; there has been an increase in the proportion of the new BQ1.1 sublineage among sequenced tests.
