Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation
Conclusions for GuadeloupeBetween early October and mid-November 2015, the epidemiological situation regarding arboviral diseases (dengue and chikungunya) remained stable in Guadeloupe, continuing the trend already observed during the previous two months.Cases of dengue reported by both primary care providers and hospitals remain sporadic.No outbreaks of dengue or chikungunya have been identified in the department in recent weeks.
Conclusions for Martinique Martinique continues to experience a particularly calm situation regarding the circulation of arboviruses (dengue and chikungunya). All epidemiological surveillance indicators are below the maximum level expected for the season. Over the past six weeks, no outbreaks of dengue or chikungunya have been detected in the various municipalities of the department.
Conclusions for Saint Martin: Dengue virus infections remain sporadic in Saint Martin. At the same time, the weekly number of consultations for suspected chikungunya remains at its lowest level in the past five months.
Conclusions for Saint Barthélemy: The weekly number of consultations for dengue has exceeded seasonal peak levels for three consecutive weeks. Particular vigilance should be maintained in the coming weeks to detect a potential outbreak in Saint Barthélemy. In contrast, chikungunya virus circulation appears very low, and no cases have been recorded over the past five weeks.
