Bronchiolitis SurveillanceIn mainland France as well as in Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, the epidemic has now been over for several weeks.
Flu-like illness surveillance: In mainland France, the flu epidemic is still active, despite a decrease in flu activity observed across all regions. Corsica is the only region in the post-epidemic phase since Week 9.In Nord and Pas-de-Calais, hospital and outpatient indicators continue the decline that began in week 12. The epidemic peak has passed. In Aisne, Oise, and Somme, hospital and outpatient indicators continue the decline that began in week 12. The epidemic peak has passed.
Surveillance of severe influenza cases hospitalized in intensive care units In metropolitan France, 832 severe cases of influenza have been reported since the start of surveillance. The majority were infected with a type A virus. A total of 116 deaths have been recorded. In Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, 14 new cases were admitted to intensive care units in week 13 (stable compared to week 12), including 11 in the Nord department. A total of 79 cases have been reported since the start of surveillance. The majority of cases are infected with a type A(H1N1) virus and present risk factors targeted by vaccination. 14 cases have died.
Surveillance of Acute Gastroenteritis In mainland France, data from the Sentinelles network indicate that the incidence rate of acute diarrhea has fallen below the epidemic threshold but remains at a high level.In Nord and Pas-de-Calais, as well as in Aisne, Oise, and Somme, outpatient indicators are rising sharply, although they remain below the statistical threshold. Hospital indicators are also at a high level in Nord and Pas-de-Calais, and moderate in Aisne, Oise, and Somme.
