Surveillance of Influenza-Like Illnesses In metropolitan France, influenza activity remains low across all regions. Unlike hospital and virological indicators, which remain stable, a slight increase in consultations for influenza-like illnesses has been observed in outpatient care. In Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy, influenza activity remains low and stable in both hospital and outpatient settings.

Surveillance of acute gastroenteritis In mainland France, activity for acute gastroenteritis is rising sharply. According to the Sentinelles network, the epidemic threshold was exceeded for the first week. A second week of exceeding the threshold is required to confirm the onset of the epidemic.In Nord-Pas-de-Calais, there has been an increase in activity in outpatient care, which remains below the regional alert threshold. Hospital activity remains stable. In Picardy, a sharp rise in SOS Médecins activity was observed this week, just below the regional alert threshold.

Surveillance of severe influenza cases hospitalized in intensive care units In mainland France, 22 severe influenza cases have been reported since the start of surveillance. Most of these are confirmed cases of type A influenza. Half of the cases are hospitalized in southern France. In Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy, no new severe cases of influenza have been reported since the single case reported in early November.
