Community-based surveillance

  • Sentinelles Network: 176 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants (S-14 versus 301 in S-13) in Guadeloupe, 82 in Saint Martin (Week 14 vs. 147 in Week 13) and 141 in Saint Barthélemy (Week 14 vs. 221 in Week 13)

  • Virology: in Saint Martin, 3 positive samples out of 14 tested (21.4% positivity rate)

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • No outbreaks of acute respiratory infections (ARI) had been reported as of April 7, 2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Oscour® Network: 356 screenings for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 (Week 14 vs. 311 in Week 13) in Guadeloupe.

  • Hospital laboratories: 16.5% of tests positive (Week 14 versus 17.9% in Week 13)

  • ICU/intensive care units: 62.5% of patients aged 65 and older in Guadeloupe and 25.0% in Saint Martin. 58.3% of patients with at least one risk factor in Guadeloupe and 75.0% in Saint Martin

Mortality surveillance

  • No excess mortality detected through week S-12 (March 16–22)
