Individual Surveillance

  • 178 biologically confirmed cases from March 5 to April 28, 2020

Community-based surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: 260 consultations for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 consultations (compared to 407 in S16*)

  • Sentinelles Network: 5.3 (tele-)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 10,000 inhabitants

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 11 possible cases linked to COVID-19 were reported as of April 28, 2020

Hospital surveillance

  • Hospital laboratories: 2% of tests positive in Week 17* (6% in Week 16*)

  • ICU/intensive care units: 46% of patients aged 65 and older, and 65% of patients with at least one risk factor

Mortality surveillance

  • No excess mortality from all causes and across all age groups detected through week S17

*W/W-1: for week W (April 20–26, 2020) and week W-1 (April 13–19, 2020)
