Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of September 3, 2020.

Epidemiological Situation

The dengue epidemic is intensifying in Martinique. Epidemiological surveillance indicators have been rising for several weeks, and levels from the last dengue epidemic in Martinique (2013–2014) have been significantly exceeded. In this first week of September, it is therefore important to remain vigilant in the face of an epidemic in which the virus is spreading widely throughout the territory. Furthermore, current weather conditions are conducive to the development of larval breeding sites near residential areas. Martinique remains at Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.
